There will be music, movies and more to enjoy this weekend as we reach the midway point in July in the cities, towns and villages of the 88^th Assembly District. Here’s a closer look at some of the events that are taking place. • The Westchester Band, under the direction of Alan Hollander, will continue to celebrate its 48^th season with a concert in Chase Park (32 Chase Road, Scarsdale) at 8 p.m. Visit westchesterband.org for more information.

• The Scarsdale Arts Council, in conjunction with The Acceleration Project, will present “Pearl Necklace”, from 6-9 p.m. at Wilson & Son Jewelers (18 Chase Road, Scarsdale). The 25-mile ride, which will begin at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (Boston Post Road and Fowler Avenue) at 9:15 a.m., will provide financial support for a medical mission to the Dominican Republic.
