  • The Beth-El Synagogue Center (1324 North Avenue, New Rochelle) will host Rabbi David Schuck and Rabbi Zach Sitkim along with Dr. Carol Diament for a 9:30-a.m. discussion that will compare Jerusalem in biblical and rabbinical sources with Jerusalem in modern Israeli literature.   • The Interdenominational Pastors Council of New Rochelle will conduct a prayer assembly on the steps of New Rochelle City Hall (515 North Avenue) as part of The National Day of Prayer at noon. In the event of rain, the service will be held across the street at The Holy Lighthouse Church.
  • The Eastchester Relay for Life will host “Stick a Fork in Cancer”, an event at 10 different restaurants in Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Each restaurant will donate 10 percent of every bill to the American Cancer Society and Eastchester Relay for Life. The Relay will take place on May 21st at Concordia College.   • The Westchester Jewish Council will hold a County-wide Holocaust Commemoration at noon at the Garden of Remembrance (148 Martine Avenue, White Plains).
