Braving A Chilly April Weekend

Dear friends and neighbors,

It has felt more like winter than spring the last few days and the next few days don’t appear as if they will be much better. Don’t let the weather get you down, though. There is plenty to see and do in the 88th Assembly District to keep your mind off the weather this weekend.

Thursday

  • The St. Paul’s Church National Historic Site (897 S. Columbus Avenue, Mount Vernon) will host a 7 p.m. presentation examining the Lenape Indians, the original settlers of the area surrounding the church. Closing Out February

We’ve hit the final weekend in February and that means spring is just around the corner. Celebrate the approaching end of winter by enjoying everything the 88th Assembly District has to offer. The Weekend Is Upon Us: The Extended Super Bowl Edition

The Super Bowl will be played Sunday evening and I’m sure many of you are looking forward to the big game. There are, however, plenty of things to do and see in the 88th Assembly District this weekend before the big game that will help fill your time leading up to kickoff.

  • I will be hosting a “Conversation About Aid In Dying” at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club (37 Drake Road, Scarsdale) from 7-9 p.m. It will be a discussion about allowing terminally ill, mentally competent New York adults to voluntarily request and receive a prescription medication to allow them to die with dignity.   • The Northeast Etsy Artists Association will put on a Valentine’s Day Pop-Up Shop from noon-4 p.m. at the West Elm on 678 Post Road in Scarsdale.
