Enjoying A Cooler Weekend In The 88th Assembly District

Dear friends and neighbors,

The scorching hot weather that has blistered Westchester County over the last few days is expected to be gone by the weekend. So, there will be time to get out and enjoy everything that the cities, towns and villages of the 88th Assembly District have to offer.

THURSDAY

  • The New Rochelle Council on the Arts will continue its “Pop-Up Performances” at the New Rochelle Train Station from 5:30-7 p.m. The concerts will run every Thursday through Aug. 25. Visit newrochellearts.org for more information.
  • River of Dreams will perform at noon in Renaissance Park (Mamaroneck Avenue and Main Street, White Plains) as part of the city’s Noon Day Concert series. Visit cityofwhiteplains.com for more information.
  • The Play Group Theatre (One North Broadway, White Plains) will present “All Shook Up”, the story of a young girl and an Elvis Presley type in a scenario right out of Shakespeare’s “A Twelfth Night”, at 7 p.m. Visit playgroup.org for more information.
  • The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum (895 Shore Road, Pelham Bay Park) will host a closing reception for the Vintage Postcards of Pelham Bay and City Island exhibit from 6-7 p.m. That will be followed by the Sunset Classical Concert Series from 7-8 p.m. Sing We Enchanted will perform “Back To the Future”.   • The East Coast National Baseball Card Show will take place at the County Center in White Plains from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Visit nyshows.org for more information.

FRIDAY
