Have A Happy Holiday Weekend

Dear friends and neighbors,

I would like to wish everyone celebrating the holidays a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah. This is a special time of year during which we should appreciate our family and our friends.

One of the things I am thankful for is the wonderful support I get from my constituents in the 88th Assembly District. I am honored to continue serving you, helping you in any way I can. That includes providing you with a weekly listing of wonderful events in the cities, towns and villages of our district.

  • The St. Paul’s Church National Historic Site (897 South Columbus Avenue, Mount Vernon) is offering a Family Holiday Program, consisting of historic games and activities, for children and adults from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The program will also be offered on Friday.   • The White Plains Performing Arts Center (11 City Place, White Plains) will present “Sister Act”, a performance based on the hit Whoopi Goldberg movie, at 2 p.m. on Thursday and again on Friday at 7 p.m. Visit wppac.com for more information.


  • Low-Key Nice will return to Alvin & Friends Restaurant (14 Memorial Highway, New Rochelle) and will perform their unique soul, fusion, funk and jazz from 7-10:30 p.m. Visit alvinandfriendsrestaurant.com for more information.
  • The Westchester Knicks of the NBA Developmental League will host The Raptors 905 at The Westchester County Center in a 7 p.m. matchup. Visit dleague.nba.com for more information.


  • The Eastchester Church (11 Woodlot Road, Eastchester) will present “The Living Nativity” with Broadway performers, elegant costumes and incredible music in a 7:30 p.m. performance. There will also be a performance on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Visit eastchesterchurch.org for more information.happy
  • The 102nd Bronxville Village Christmas Pageant will take place at the Bronxville Reformed Church (180 Pondfield Road, Bronxville) at 5:30 p.m. There will be live animals and a performance by The Invisible Choir. Visit bronxvillechamber.com for more information.
  • Alvin & Friends Restaurant (14 Memorial Highway, New Rochelle) will host pianist Donnie Bosco and feature a Christmas Buffet from 5-10 p.m. Visit alvinandfriendsrestaurant.com for more information.


  • Beth-El Synagogue Center (1324 North Avenue, New Rochelle) will host Hanukkah Hoopla from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for children ages 8 and under. There will be a pancake breakfast, a bouncy castle, games and more. Visit bethelnr.org for more information.
  • Beth-El Synagogue Center (1324 North Avenue, New Rochelle) will also host Hanukkah Happy Hour from 5-7:30 p.m. Light the menorah on North Avenue and then head inside for “beer, wine and a nosh”. Visit bethelnr.org for more information.
