A Musical Summer In The 88th Assembly District

We’re nearing the end of June and as the weather starts to get hotter so does the music scene in the 88th Assembly District. There are plenty of free concerts around the district this summer, both during the day and in the evening. Here’s a closer look at some of the free shows.

ts at Chase Park in Scarsdale. The concerts, which will take place on July 7, 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4, are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. The rain location is Scarsdale High School. The Westchester Band will also perform on June 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Scarsdale Municipal Pool [311 Mamaroneck Road] as part of Scarsdale’s Fourth of July celebration. There will be fireworks and this concert has a $2 admission fee.

The Eastchester Summer Sounds Concert Series will take place on Wednesday at 8 p.m. between July 6 and Aug. 10 at the Lake Isle Country Club driving range. The concerts are free but food and drinks available for purchase at The Balcony Café by Mulinos. The rain dates for the concerts are on Thursday. The performers scheduled to appear are:

The Bronxville Pops Concert Band will perform on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at Bronxville High School [177 Pondfield Road] at 8 p.m. Scheduled concert dates are July 6, 13, 20 and 27.

The White Plains Noon Day Concert Series returns for another season on Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. in the Renaissance Plaza located at Main Street and Mamaroneck Avenue. The performers scheduled to appear are:

The New Rochelle Council on the Arts will continue its “Pop-Up Performances” at the New Rochelle Train Station from 5:30-7 p.m. The concerts will run every Thursday through Aug. 25.
