Music, Movies and More In The 88th Assembly District

Dear friends and neighbors,

The spring holiday season continues this weekend and there are many ways to enjoy some holiday time with your family and friends in the cities, towns and villages of the 88th Assembly District.

THURSDAY

  • The Church in the Highlands (35 Bryant Avenue, White Plains) will host English Country Dancing at 7:30 p.m. Wear low-heeled, soft-sole shoes and arrive early for some beginner instruction. Call Christiane at 845-642-2074 for more information.
  • The Picture House (175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham) will present a special screening of God Knows Where I Am, the story of a dead homeless woman and the diary that details her journey, at 7:30 p.m. A Q&A with director Jedd Wider and producer Brian Ariotti will follow.   • The Scarsdale Library (54 Olmstead Road, Scarsdale) will continue its Foreign Film Series with a 1:45 p.m. presentation of “Chico & Rita”, the story of a piano player and young singer in Cuba during the 1940s.   • The Sarah Lawrence Dance Program will present “Spring MFA Performances” at the Performing Arts Center Bessie Schonberg Dance Studio (1 Mead Way, Bronxville) from 7:30-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.   • The Poetry Caravan will be at The Scarsdale Library (54 Olmstead Road, Scarsdale) from 2-4:30 p.m. as part of a National Poetry Month celebration. S
