A Pre-Valentine’s Day Weekend In The 88th Assembly District

We’ve reached the middle of February and Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. Take advantage of everything the 88th Assembly District has to offer and celebrate the holiday a few days early.

THURSDAY

  • Elizabeth Kemble, the founder of Travellati Tours, will discuss the places frequented by famed author Ernest Hemingway while he was in France, highlighted by the café in which he wrote the Sun Also Rises, at the Pelham Library (530 Colonial Avenue, Pelham) at 7 p.m. Visit pelhamlibrary.org for more information.

  • The Tuckahoe Library (71 Columbus Avenue, Tuckahoe) will host Dr. Raymond Geselbracht, the archivist for the Franklin D.   • Magpie will perform at The Memorial United Methodist Church (250 Bryant Avenue, White Plains) as part of The Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse music series.   • The Music Conservatory of Westchester (216 Central Avenue, White Plains) is offering a free Master Music Class at noon with pianist Paul Ostrovsky.
