The League of Women Voters of Westchester will present the film “Fix It: Healthcare At The Tipping Point” at 1:30 p.m. on April 3 in The White Plains Library. This new 55-minute film made from a businessman’s perspective, takes an in-depth look into how our dysfunctional and inefficient healthcare system is damaging our economy, suffocating our businesses, discouraging physicians and negatively impacting the nation’s health, while remaining unaffordable for a third our citizens. This is the first showing in this area. I will be discussing the film afterwards along with Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal of the Physicians for a National Health Program. I look forward to seeing you all there. The discussion will focus on the New York State single-payer bill that passed in the Assembly last year, 92-52. Advocates are now focusing on the State Senate.
