Happy Holidays, Part 2

Dear friends and neighbors,

I would like to wish everyone who is celebrating Christmas a happy and healthy holiday.  While the holiday will take up much of the weekend for many people there will still be some things to see and do this weekend in the 88th Assembly District.

  • The 17th annual Westchester County Slam Dunk Tournament at the Westchester County Center in White Plains kicks off at noon and will continue through Tuesday. Here’s your chance to see some of the area’s premier boys and girls high school basketball players. There will be five games each day. Visit countycenterboz.com for more information.SlamDunk_LP
  • The White Plains Performing Arts Center, at 11 City Place in White Plains, will present “Tarzan, The Stage Musical” based on the Disney film. Showtime is 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. There will also be a show on Sunday (2 p.m.). Visit wppac.com for more information.
  • Jazz pianist Jon Weiss will perform at Alvin and Friends Restaurant (14 Memorial Highway, New Rochelle) from 7:30-11 p.m. Visit alvinandfriendsrestaurant.com for more information.


  • The Greenburgh Nature Center (99 Dromore Road, Scarsdale) will host Teaching Trails: A community Path for Environmental Education at 11:30 a.m. Experience the joy of walking through a guided trail in a woodland forest in this 45-minute program.
